QA Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Specialist with a strong focus on frontend testing for Shopify-based e-commerce websites. You will execute thorough manual testing across devices and browsers, validate performance and layout, identify and track issues with clear reproduction steps, conduct regression tests, and act as a gatekeeper by validating staging builds before deployment to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute thorough manual testing of Shopify-based websites across desktop
    and mobile to ensure uniform performance and visual accuracy.
  • Validate performance, layout, and functionality across major browsers and
    devices.
  • Test core e-commerce flows ensuring usability and visual accuracy with
    provided designs.
  • Identify, log, and track issues in a clear, structured way using management tool.
  • Provide steps to reproduce, expected vs actual behavior, with screenshots or
    videos.
  • Conduct regression tests after updates, deployments, or plugin/theme
    modifications to confirm stability of key features.
  • Work closely with developers and designers to communicate defects, review
    changes, and validate fixes.
  • Act as a gatekeeper by validating staging builds before deployment to
    production and flagging potential customer-facing issues.
  • Validate site content, translations, and localization aspects where applicable,
    including international multicurrency and multilingual Shopify stores.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Manual QA, within e-commerce or digital agency
    environments.
  • Strong understanding of frontend technologies and browser behaviors,
    including HTML, CSS, and basic JS (no coding required, but ability to
    understand DOM behavior is key).
  • Experience testing Shopify storefronts or other CMS/e-commerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with testing tools like Chrome DevTools, BrowserStack, Lighthouse,
    or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking and management tools, like Trello,
    Clickup, Jira, Linear.
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and ability to test across
    resolutions and breakpoints.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA best practices
    in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal — able to clearly
    document findings and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of common security issues in web applications
  • Ability to derive appropriate, comprehensive tests from requirements/user story
    acceptance criteria and input from Project Managers.
